Go2SeaWithMe LLC, a limited liability company organized under the laws of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, doing business as Go2ChinaWithMe (“Go2ChinaWithMe,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), respects your privacy and takes reasonable measures to protect the personal information you choose to share with us.

This Privacy Policy describes how personal information is collected, used, disclosed, and retained when you visit Go2ChinaWithMe.com (the “Site”), contact us, or ask us to research, arrange, or manage travel services for you.

If you use our services from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored in, or processed in the United States and in the countries where your travel suppliers operate. Third-party websites and services linked from this Site operate under their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to review.

Personal information we collect

Information you provide

When you contact us or work with us to plan or reserve travel, we may collect information such as your full legal name, email address, telephone number, mailing or billing address, travel preferences, accessibility or dietary requests, and payment or billing information.

When you choose “Let’s talk China” or another planning button, you may be taken to a form provided by Tern Software. If you submit the form, the information you provide is processed by Tern and used to create a contact and trip inquiry so we can respond to your request. Review Tern’s Privacy Policy for information about how Tern handles form data.

When you subscribe for email updates, Mailchimp processes the contact details, message, and travel interests you submit to manage your subscription and send the communications you requested. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in each email. Review Intuit’s Global Privacy Statement for information about how Mailchimp handles data.

To arrange travel, we may also need your date of birth, gender or sex as shown on travel documents, passport details, driver’s license or other government-issued identification, citizenship, arrival and departure information, airline, hotel, cruise line, rail, car rental, or activity details, loyalty-program numbers, Known Traveler Number, Global Entry number, and other information reasonably necessary for your trip.

Yilan, the AI travel assistant

When you chat with Yilan, your messages and relevant public website information are sent to OpenAI to generate a reply. Yilan is an AI assistant; Steve confirms final itinerary, pricing, availability, and travel requirements. Please keep payment details, passport information, and other sensitive information out of the chat.

Your conversation remains in the current browser tab for context. This site does not save the conversation as a client record or send its contents to Google Analytics. OpenAI processes requests under its own API data-handling policies.

To limit misuse and control costs, the site stores short-lived request counters, including a daily hash of the connection identifier. It does not store the raw connection identifier in these counters. Opening Steve’s China-specific Tern form does not automatically transfer your chat. You choose whether to copy a trip summary into the form and submit it. Chatting does not subscribe you to email updates.

Information about travel companions

If you provide information about a travel companion, including a minor child, you confirm that you have permission to provide that information. A parent or legal guardian must consent to the submission of a minor’s personal information. Travel companions may contact us directly to request access to, correction of, or deletion of their information, subject to applicable law and our recordkeeping obligations.

Information collected automatically

With your permission, the Site uses Google Analytics to collect limited information about how visitors use the Site. This may include pages viewed, general interaction information, approximate location, referral source, and device or browser details. Advertising and personalized-ad signals are disabled, and we do not intentionally send your name, email address, telephone number, or the contents of a travel inquiry to Google Analytics.

Google Analytics loads only after you select “Allow analytics.” If you select “No thanks,” it does not load. Your choice is stored in your browser, and you may change it at any time by selecting “Analytics choices” in the footer.

Technologies used by the Site may include:

• Cookies and local storage, which help remember your privacy choice and, when permitted, distinguish visits and sessions.
• Log files, which may record technical information such as IP address, browser type, internet service provider, referring or exit pages, and date and time stamps for security and operational purposes.
• Tags and similar technologies, which may record how the Site is used after analytics permission has been granted.

Communications and social media

If you interact with us through a social-media platform, we may receive information made available by that platform according to your settings and its privacy policy. Information you provide by email, telephone, messaging service, or another communication channel may be retained to respond to you, provide service, maintain appropriate business records, and resolve questions or disputes.

How we use personal information

We may use personal information to:

• respond to inquiries and provide personalized travel guidance;
• research, quote, reserve, manage, and support travel arrangements;
• process payments and provide invoices, confirmations, and trip updates;
• communicate important information about your travel;
• honor preferences and requests you have shared with us;
• detect or prevent fraud, misuse, security incidents, and other unlawful activity;
• operate, analyze, improve, and protect the Site and our services; and
• send news or marketing communications when permitted and consistent with your choices. You may opt out of those communications at any time.

How we share personal information

We share personal information only as reasonably necessary to provide services, operate our business, comply with the law, or protect legitimate interests. This may include sharing information with airlines, hotels, cruise lines, tour operators, destination management companies, guides, ground transportation providers, rail operators, activity providers, travel insurance providers, payment processors, and other suppliers involved in your requested arrangements.

We may also share information with service providers that support functions such as payment processing, customer service, business operations, website hosting, analytics, communications, marketing, fraud prevention, and information security. These providers are expected to use personal information only as needed to perform services for us and as permitted by law.

When a third-party business partner jointly offers or fulfills a product or service you request, we may share the information needed to provide it. We may also disclose information when required by applicable law, regulation, subpoena, court order, search warrant, or other lawful request, or when reasonably necessary to protect our rights, customers, business, or the safety of others.

We may share aggregated or de-identified information that does not reasonably identify you. We do not sell personal information for money.

Your choices and privacy rights

You may ask to access, correct, update, or delete personal information we hold about you, or object to or restrict certain uses of it, subject to applicable law and legitimate recordkeeping requirements. You may also withdraw consent where our processing is based on consent. To make a request, use the contact information below. We may need to verify your identity before completing it.

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under state, national, or regional privacy laws. These may include rights to know what categories of information we collect, obtain a copy of information, request correction or deletion, limit certain uses, opt out of certain disclosures, or appeal a decision. We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right.

If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we may process information to perform a contract with you, comply with legal obligations, protect vital interests, or pursue legitimate business interests, and we may rely on your consent where appropriate. Your information may be transferred outside your home country, including to the United States and destinations or supplier locations involved in your travel.

Do Not Track and preference signals

Some browsers offer “Do Not Track” or similar settings. Because there is no universally accepted standard for responding to these signals, the Site may not respond to every browser-based signal. The Site does, however, ask for your choice before loading Google Analytics, and you can change that choice at any time through “Analytics choices” in the footer.

Data retention and security

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide requested services, maintain business and transaction records, comply with legal and regulatory obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention periods vary according to the type of information and the reason it was collected.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No system or method of transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure, however, so we cannot promise absolute security.

Children’s privacy

The Site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 through the Site. Information needed to arrange travel for a minor must be provided by, or with the consent of, a parent or legal guardian.

Updates to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices, services, technology, or legal obligations. The effective date at the top of the policy shows when it was most recently revised.
